Miracles of Modern Science

Lean On (Major Lazer Cover)

A few years ago me and Tom were covering a show at the Hideout in Chicago for a band called Saint Motel. The opening act was Miracles of Modern Science and Tom and I both agreed they were fucking awesome. They brought a classically original and stringed approach to pop shits, but they didn't seem hoity toity or snobbish or full of themselves. Their attitude was apparent in their performance, they were fucking geeky fucking cool, but had the confidence of high school quarterbacks, the lot of them.

Thankfully we left that show loving MoMS because Saint Motel turned out to be everything we hate about modern music (intentionally geek chic, orchestrated emotional expressions, soulless songs, and a fucking wardrobe we wanted to set on fire) while MoMS have turned into a familiar and appreciated obsession (and they're adorable).

AND THEN I SAW THIS ON THE FACEBOOKS ON SATURDAY WHILE ON THE CAN, HOLY HELL YEA BROS!

"Lean On" from Major Lazer is the song I'm obsessed with that's on the radio this summer and I think I actually love this version more because of the obvious kick ass musicality of these assholes.

Hey Miracles of Modern Science? Keep this shit up. We fucking love you. But call yer ma.

Love,

Dad
