Those of us who grew up watching Who's The Boss, whether on prime time or in syndication, knew the ins and outs of every character. From Tony and Sam, to Angela and Jonathan, to the venus flytrap that was Mona's vagina, they each had their own special places in our hearts, minds and loins. Normally, Pop Cultures Collide pairs one of our favorite bands/artists with a song or theme song to cover from our youth, this month Chicago's legendary production duo The OPUS, offers us our first ever PCC remix with what is probably the catchiest rendition of anything ever associated with Tony Danza. With the exception of Alyssa Milano in Poison Ivy (RAWR).
A Word From The Opus
We originally aired this live at The Last of the Record Buyers Showcase at Soundset 2011, where we were challenged to flip the original theme song to Who's the Boss sitcom. The end result? A series of blips and bloops forged into a digital masterpiece. We weren't aware we had a hit on our hands until Mona gave us a squeeze.
