Purity Ring - Fineshrine

July 24th is fast upon us. Get excited,people. When that day comes it will officially be time to begin slow jammin the weirdz with Purity Ring as they release their debut LP, Shrines. Haven't heard me ramble on about them in the past? Well for lack of a better description, or the necessary energy that it would take to again drop strong words turds, let me say that if Born Gold and Polica fucked and had a baby it would be Purity Ring.

The irony of that analogy and the band's pious name is not lost on me.

Watch the video for Fineshrine and get lost in its 808s and Heartbreaks..and it's overzealous anatomy lessons. Kudos to Young Replicant and Co for rocking some trippy creeped out Tarseem esque visuals.  Lucid dreaming set to Purity Ring has pretty much been what my entire day has consisted of.

Powerful stuff.

This video perfectly matches the weird vibes that envelope all of the songs off of Shrines, which is turning out to get closer and closer to Chromatics, Twin Shadow, and Polica as my favorite album of the year.
