World Premiere

Wings and Wounds (Graves 33 & Sarx)

Death of the Pep Rally ft. Ceschi

Brandon Backhaus | September 30, 2014

Hey, fuckers, lovers, friends and enemies, you ever hear of a rapper goes by the name of Sarx? You neither? Well, let me fucking introduce you to this fucking beautiful sasquatch of a rapper. Sarx is from the Northwest and, along with Graves33, is part of collab crew, WINGS AND WOUNDS. He is as good of a person as he is bad of a rapper. And you know I mean not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning SENSH-YOU-ALL! Graves33 so graciously allowed us to premiere the, Death of the Pep Rally video featuring none other than Syffal fave, Ceschi. Death of the Pep Rally is the first released track off Graves and Sarx's new project, WINGS AND WOUNDS, and color me touched. Not only is the video shot in that ferngully-esque muted tone that only the Pacific Northwest can muster with it's thousand shades of greyish green and lumberjackian beards and flannel, but holy shit all three rappers make my ears so satisfied they wanna curl up and hibernate for the winter and deprive me of any other rap musics. It's like when chipmunks stuff their cheeks full of acorns as they stock up for the coming season of barren trees, my ears are about to shut it down til the thaw, bros. Complete with Seattle-friendly cameo by Sadistik (who drinks ole Ceschi under the table), Sarx and Graves and Ceschi fucking give us what might be my favorite mood rap anthem. While the WINGS AND WOUNDS LP won't be out 'til sometime in 2015, they are performing their 3rd official set October 9th at Vera Project as local support for Illogic and Carnage The Executioner. If you happen to be in the land o'ferns aka Seattle, Washington, you should def cop tickets. That's the night Graves and Sarx will release to the masses their Fated Empire Crew album. The album will also be out the next day on http://Graves.bandcamp.com to those of us not residing in the perpetual cloud nation.
