Mariachi El Bronx

I went to Beach Goth last year. For those of you that don't know, Beach Goth is the Growlers' yearly festival of debauched punk rock and miscellaneous indie green-haired and black pantsed badassery.

Besides feeling like the ancient mother fucker I've truly become, I caught a set from Mariachi El Bronx, the mariachi offshoot of LA punk band The Bronx. You might recognize them from Adult Swim's Aqua Something You Know Whatever aka Aqua Team Hunger Force's theme song with Schooly D.

During their performance I was COMPLETELY blown away by Matt Caughthran's vocals, the band's exquisitely embroidered matching outfits, precision instrumentation, and white people's complete inability to dance to a waltz.
