California Wives sounds like either the perfect reality show, the greatest blonde-centric porn ever, or a place that crazy right wing ladies with rich husbands go to complain about the havok the progressive movement is causing them because their hairdresser and his husband now expects a wedding gift.

However, California Wives is actually a delicious new band on Vagrant Records that makes the kind of dreamy pop rock that would make Ducky finally get the balls to try and touch a little Andie Walsh boob instead of walking the path that will lead to him spending the next 20 years trying to prove he is cool enough by bedding down girls with blogs about their daddy issues and eating disorders, or as we at SYFFAL call it, Pulling A Del.

Well these fucking jerkoffs just dropped a sensational new single from their upcoming album Art History, which drops on Vagrant Sept. 4th. The song is called Blood Red Youth and makes me want to throw bricks through the windows at all the banks and gourmet cupcake shops that reside in what used to be my favorite record store.

It is light enough to make summer nights feel cool and heavy enough to remind you of the nights you broke into the public pool to do a little naked swimming with your best friend's cousin from two towns over. She was a little wild and gave the best handies bro.

California Wives also dropped a few tracks earlier this year that some how went under my radar. I have hyperlinked them in the below tracklisting for Art History.

Also these shitbirds are on the road, check them out, and tell them that Tim from SYFFAL sent you. They will give you a toke off their spliff, a few stickers and herpes.

Art History tracklisting:

1. Blood Red Youth
2. Tokyo
3. Marianne
4. The Fisher King
5. Los Angeles
6. Photolights
7. Purple
8. Better Home
9. Twenty Three
10. The New Process
11. Light Year
