Astronautalis - Running Away from God: Astronautalis is a total inspiration in that he has found himself and, from continent to continent from motorcycle to tour bus, is fucking running with it. I need to learn that looking back too much is the same as not moving on. And second guessing just leads to sitting around smoking pot with the neighbors.
Open Mike Eagle x Paul White - I Went Outside Today feat. Aesop Rock: Although this record never grabbed me by the brain nuts, this song put its scope’s red dot on my forehead and pulled the fucking trigger. It’s been a really weird year.
Local Natives - Past Lives: The upliftingly reverberant sound I’ve become accustomed to as tears and snot stream from my face holes. I'm learning to save myself.
Homeboy Sandman - God: I’m an atheist. But I am learning much about the spiritual aspect of being a genuinely good person. It’s the beginning of a journey from asshole to human being. I’m trying really hard and struggling to grow up a little bit. It helps to know that I’m not the only one.

Astronautalis - Forest Fire: I remember sniffle-crying while asking my wife to just fucking listen to "Forest Fire" because I couldn't fucking speak. When the song ended she couldn't talk either. This song makes me appreciate Astronautalis really really hard.
Factor Chandelier & Kay the Aquanaut - Snaps: It took me watching the new video for this song to understand how fucking happy it makes me. Kay the Aquanaut is my favorite hairy singrapper of the fucking moment and it makes me so fucking happy to bounce my ass off alone to this song at least thrice weekly.
Zavala - Vivir: The first time I heard this was the first time since my 20s that I drew a speaker onto the whiteboard at work and humped the fucking shit out of it. I can't believe Zavala is making dance tracks. But dude. I totally love that Zavala is making dance tracks. He's my favorite.
Sykoya - Closer: Seriously, the sexy is so thick on this song I'll make out with my hand just to do it fucking justice. I hope this band puts an album out and I buy it on vinyl and have super hot marital sex with my wife while it spins at 33 1/3.
Gregory Alan Isakov - Liars: Tom sent this in a gchat and I was leaving one beeyard and headed to another. Once the chorus hits towards the end with the repeated "Now we're just liars" I was a fucking puddle. This guy. This fucking guy makes me feel things.

Klangstof - Hostage: Just wait.....just wait for the foreplay to be finished. Let this song take you to far off lands before that wobbly bass kicks off a build that is so transcendent that your nipples will be able to pierce diamonds.
Mondo Cozmo - Hold On To Me: Not only is the song wonderful, but that video gets me too. It finds away to whisper in your ear to assure you: 'everything is going to be alright.'
School 94 - Common Sense: Every once in a while these Indie Pop songs that I hate to love will urge me to jump into some high waisted short jorts, pack on the mascara, and spray some untan paleness over my summer tan.
Mike Adams At His Honest Weight - Underneath The Door: I swear this song brings me back to the mid 90s....I mean that bass line in the verse is so familiarly unfamiliar. AND that chorus is what all over chorus's should strive to be. Fuck, this guy makes song writing seem so easy.
Gregory Alan Isakov - Liars: Because Joel wrote his entry for this song before I did, and I can read what he already said, let me say this: When I sent him to the bee yard with this song in his pocket on that fateful morning I only said one thing: "Find a reflective moment and give this song all your attention." So, that's my recommendation to you...give this song 5 minutes and you will get a lifetime of feelz in return.
