Youth Lagoon, Savage Hills Ballroom, Fat Possum, Indie music, Trevor Powers

Savage Hills Ballroom

Listening to this album is like watching Trevor Powers live his life in a snowglobe full of gum drops in the shapes of houses and an uncleaned litterbox for his cat named Mr. Whiskers.

Currents

Although I haven't been listening to it as much lately, I think this is the most creative album so far this year.

palehound, dry, food, album review, indie, garage

Dry Food

The guitar on this album is so balls. The 90s vibe also makes me want to wear rugby shirts from Structure before it was called Express for Men.

Joel Frieders

magic citty hippies, hippie castle, ep, album review, r&b, funk, florida

Hippie Castle EP

Hippie Castle EP: This dropped right when I was habitually topless and flexin' sass all over the midwest. Perhaps the most succinct collection of funky asskicking I've ever thrust upon my side faceholes. Perfect drinkin' music.

Foals, What Went Down

What Went Down

What Went Down: Easily my favorite album of the year so far. These assholes took indie rock out of the "why is everyone so boring" category and gave me a reason to bang my head (and sterring wheel) again. I JUST WANT TO BANG EVERYTHING.

Wild

Fuck these assholes for sending me an album they sell in Starbucks that I can't get out of my fucking car's slit. YEAH I REFERENCED MY VEHICULAR GASH! WHAT OF IT?! This band will be bigger than my balls in 3, 2, 1...

Elsphinx, Brain Cave Deluxe, Album Review, Pig Food Records

Brain Cave Deluxe

The album title says it all. This album is like, cutting a dragons wing off at 20,000 feet in the air and stabbing it all the way to ground, as it tries to blow fire on you. I like to put this album on when I want to fight other dads at my kids soccer game.

Words Hurt - Alkast Remixes

Alkast Remixes

Listen. So, like, fuck you! I helped make this album and the shit kicks so much ass, shit actually comes out of the ass getting kicked while listening to it. Tim is NBA JAM on fire dunking all over raps face right now.

dirty ghosts, cataract

Cataract

I, like joel, apparently, love rock bands with girl singers. This album reminds me of secretly jamming the Runaways and twirling my pigtails under my bed so my friends didn't beat me up for being a sissy Sally pants.

Brandon Backhaus

Milo - So The Flies Don't Come

So The Flies Don't Come

So The Flies Don't Come: If Milo is aging like fine wine, only getting tastier as he gets older, the hints of pear and Nicaraguan free-trade coffee becoming more pronounced, where will he be in a decade? A rich guy's cellar?

Currents

I've written, cooked, eaten, contemplated suicide, made out, fucked, masturbated, slept, ran, drove, and lived to this album. Absolute love!

Foals, What Went Down

What Went Down

What Went Down: I know this album is great. What I've heard has been more enough to know I will love it. This entry is just my way of passive aggressively reminding someone to FUCKING DROP BOX IT TO ME!
