Certain albums require the right atmosphere to be properly ingested. Not all music adapt to all moods and vice versa. Some artists NEED to be heard, some demand it. Elsphinx's is a man, that has a delivery and voice, that makes your ears and brain survive anger and depression at night time. Brain Cave Deluxe is best suited for nocturnal consumption. The sheer density of the beats, the visceral growl in his voice, feel best laying in your room, in the dark, staring at the ceiling, alone or on your porch at 2 A.M., drinking screwdrivers, after you've committed murder.

The whole album starts off as if you were fighting your way thru a thick, thorn covered forest, only to reach a clearing filled with zombie-ninjas who are ready to eat and kill you with "Meet Me At The Swap". Producer Hunchback Esquire comes out of the "Cellar Door" and lays down heavy throwing star cover fire, while El, broadsword cuts all the enemies in half with one strike. He then tags in PJ Katz and Giant Gorilla Dog Thing on "Pork Swordsmen", who only bring bazookas and land mines to the battle. When they realize that they will never escape, C-Note grabs his sequencer and uses it to transport them out of there. Only problem is, it was to a pit of hot, black tar mixed with quicksand. Pj and Hunchback put their powers together on the next two tracks and make a lasso made with Elsphinx's back hair and attach it to "Legit's Tooth".

Legit uses his parent's money and festival skills to acquire 6 handfuls of micro-dots Rob Viktum made with frog pee and period blood. Surge Cess convinces everyone to eat all the acid, when in reality he was the zombie-ninja Yakuza big boss man himself. Luckily, Radiolab swooped down on his dragon named Darcy in the knick of time, helping them escape death in the hour of 8, into the mythic "Cities of Rust".

When Dun realizes his cranium is still attached to his body, he tries to relax and he slides his broadsword back into its sheath on his back. To his surprise, he was "Being Chased By Celestial Objects" piloted by a Theorist who wanted Mr.Daley's blood. Elsphinx knew he had to find the monster known as r0b0tr0n and his master Devin B. They would need the "Infinity Gauntlet", there was no way around it now. From the command ship, C-note would need to transport them back to the Thorn Forest and try to capture the "Elements" needed to create Sime Gezus in his human form.

With Sime by El's side they had what they needed in spirit. Melvin Junko gave them the magical "Witch Hazel" needed to defeat the hemorrhoidal "War Pig". When Dun realizes he himself created the vile creature he doesn't know how to deal with slaying the beast he put so much effort into forming with his own hands and semen. As he lay there with the slain animal, Jak Tripper reaches out from the ground, hand a blazed with the heat of Hell, to drag the poor soul to its final destination. El spirals downward into a brothel with his mans ALASKA. PJ once again provide them with the vehicle to their destination. As they exit, he asks them "Got The Time"? and departs leaving them with the Secret Handshake.

Hunchback sees the men are tired and ALASKA has no time for these maidens. They turn once more to the brothel and say "Farewell, Flora". El also bids ALASKA a farewell and runs towards the cliff adjacent to the filthy whorehouse and leaps only to land on his giant "Moth". Misnomer knew Duns ways and sent the magnificent insect to retrieve its master.

As Elshpinx's rides the winged behemoth into the night sky, he hears the faint battle at the "Pork Swordsmen". Only it sounds different as he tries to recall the event. He gives it no second thought and calls the android known as J57 to meet him back on the porch...

Elsphinx wakes up abruptly. He had mixed too much LSD into his screwdriver. He rubs at his face trying to shake off the dream. He stands and drags the body to the hole he dug earlier that evening, shooing away the moth attracted to the dim light on the porch.
